With Railnova, our railway clients are alerted in advance of failures, are able to replace their calendar-based with condition based maintenance, and identify best driving practices to reduce energy consumption.

We're looking for a DACH Sales executive to join our team: you are excited about IoT, Big Data, Predictive Maintenance and above all, about turning data into actionable information for your users and clients. You will be trusted to bring innovative ideas and solutions to our clients and help them achieve their value creation goals.

Role

The DACH Sales Executive person has a high-impact role dedicated to driving business growth through proactive business development and upselling existing customers with Railnova’s IoT and digitization solutions for the railway sector. 

This role demands a focus on identifying new business opportunities, executing sales strategies, and ensuring the successful closure of deals. 

The role requires to maintain focus on expanding the customer base and increasing revenue from existing clients while being efficient at handing over project management, contract management, customer relationship management tasks (billing, support, change orders, etc) to internal teams. You are reporting to the Head of sales.

Responsibilities

New Business Development:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Railnova’s client base within identified segment and according to sales and product strategy 

  • Engage with prospective clients to present Railnova's products and solutions, effectively addressing specific industry challenges.

  • Develop and implement targeted sales strategies on their segment to achieve revenue targets.

  • Negotiate and close new deals with clients, engaging at C-level where necessary, ensuring favourable outcomes for Railnova.

  • Capture new business opportunities via effective outreach ( industry events, calls, written communication).

  • Efficiently handover to internal teams the delivery of sold products and solutions.

Client Upselling:

  • Identify upselling opportunities within existing client relationships, focusing on generating additional revenue streams.

  • Efficiently handover to internal teams the delivery of upsold products and solutions.

Job requirements

Must-Have Skills:

  • Business Development: Proven ability to identify and capture new business opportunities through active engagement at events and remote outreach.

  • Experience: Have relevant experience in an IoT/IT selling function in a B2B environment.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of the technical aspects of Railnova’s products and solutions, with the ability to communicate their value effectively to clients.

  • Negotiation: Skilled in negotiating and closing deals that are beneficial to both Railnova and the client.

  • Presentation Skills: Expertise in presenting products and solutions in a compelling manner to prospective clients.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess sales performance and market trends to drive informed decision-making.

  • Reporting: Proficiency in preparing and presenting regular reports to senior management on sales performance and strategic initiatives.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Learning Agility: Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and market changes.

  • Language Proficiency: English and German mandatory, French and/or Dutch is a plus.
